I am undertaking the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in support of The Brain Tumour Charity. I have become very aware of the impact of this awful disease in the last year due to a lovely friend being diagnosed. I have been humbled by the courage shown by this remarkable young lady in dealing with this challenge. However, I have more than equally been surprised and appalled by the lack of funding in a type of cancer that impacts the lives of children and adults under the age of 40 more than any other cancer.
