Story
In just 3 weeks it will be my fourth attempt at running the London Marathon.
It’s something I’ve always wanted to do but, completing it hasn’t been that simple.
In 2022, I received a charity place with @mindcharity. I trained and held various fundraising events, raising around £3,000. However, three weeks before race day, I picked up a stress fracture in my left hip. I was devastated & it was a very long road to recovery!
I tried again the following year & the one after, only to be sidelined every time. Even this time around, it hasn’t been smooth. But today I went out for my final test run… and so I’ve decided I’m going to give it a go - even if I walk myself to that finish line.
@mindcharity has been close to my heart for a long time - but over the past 6 months, it’s taken on even more meaning! So I’ve set up another JustGiving page to raise money for mental health - for those who are struggling and for those we’ve lost 💙✨
If you’re able to donate or simply share the message, I’d be so grateful!
I’m doing this for more than my own determination of completing the London Marathon but, for those who we’ve very sadly lost to mental health!!! ✨💫
