Story
This December, I’m taking on HYROX to raise money for people living with cancer.
It’s something that means a lot to me - my mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2022, and my grandma’s also had breast cancer. They’re both doing really well now, thanks in part to the support they got from charities just like Macmillan.
HYROX is basically a mix of running and functional workouts - 1km run, then a workout station, repeated eight times. It’s going to be a challenge, but it’s nothing compared to what people go through when they’re dealing with cancer.
I’m aiming to raise £400, which could help keep the Macmillan Support Line running for an hour - giving people someone to talk to when they really need it.
There are over 3 million people living with cancer in the UK right now. Macmillan does amazing work to support them, but they rely on donations to keep going.
If you’re able to chip in, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks so much.
