Story
In July 2022 my mum's sister (Auntie D to us) was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and we sadly lost her in November. At around the same time, my mum was diagnosed with the same cancer. Fortunately, it was Stage 1 and she is still with us, having also had a hip replacement since! We've learnt that the key for everyone is to regularly check our bodies and see a GP immediately if anything doesn't feel right.
Ellie and I are running the Sheffield 10k in memory of Auntie D and to support St Luke's Hospice. Your sponsorship will help them in their mission to deliver the best possible care to the people of Sheffield who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Their skilled and dedicated staff care for 1,900 adult patients a year - all free of charge. Their total running costs are £11.5million and this year, they need to raise £7.5million.
Please help us to support St Luke's by sponsoring us.
