I consider myself incredibly lucky to have joined the board of University Settlement this year. Our work is community-driven; we are constantly eliminating barriers for those with the least access to resources in this city like newly arrived families or those experiencing poverty.

While many organizations are providing targeted assistance in New York City, University Settlement's model is different. We partner with our neighbors to reach their full potential through a comprehensive range of programs that all work together to build strength.

Take our work with families, a parent can walk through our doors and access mental health care for themselves, high-quality early childhood education for their children, and other programs like eviction prevention to keep their families healthy and safe. And it's all provided in multiple languages at low or no-cost.
