On the 5th of June 2024, I am going to be taking part in a cycle from London to Amsterdam, approx. 335 miles spread over 4 days of cycling.

You may ask why I want to do this. When our son (Freddie) was born, in 2020, he came into this world with a whole host of medical conditions which he is still tackling now. As Bristol Children's Hospital is our regional children's hospital we have spent a lot of time there over the last few years, some a week or so at a time and others months at a time, each time The Grand Appeal has been there to provide support not only with providing accommodation, but also facilities within the hospital that our son had to be treated with. With that in mind, I wanted a challenge that would not only challenge me but would raise funds for The Grand Appeal.

I am participating in this organised cycle ride to raise funds for the benefit of The Grand Appeal. I have guaranteed to raise at least £2,100 for the charity, of which approximately 60 per cent will be used to pay for my travel and accommodation costs. Everything over approximately 60% will go straight to The Grand Appeal.
