Hello, my name is Jorge Perez, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times my family and I have ever faced. Due to recent tariffs and school budget cutbacks, I lost my job—the one we depended on to make ends meet.

My work was closely tied to the education system, and when funding was reduced, it had a direct impact on our operations. On top of that, many of the products my company relied on came from outside the U.S., and the rising costs due to tariffs made it unsustainable. After trying everything I could to stay afloat, I was ultimately laid off.

Right now, I’m doing everything I can to find new work, but the job market has been tough, especially for someone who built a career in a specialized industry. While I continue searching and applying, we’re struggling to cover the basics—rent, groceries, utilities, and school expenses for our children.

We’re not the type to ask for help lightly, but we’ve come to a point where we need a little support to get through this transition. I’ve set a goal of $1,000 to help us stay on our feet while I look for new employment and explore other ways to support my family.
