As the Executive Director of La Casa Norte, and someone who has personally experienced homelessness, I can tell you firsthand that the work we do to support youth and families in our community is changing lives.

La Casa Norte is more than just a non-profit organization. It is a community, a family, and a source of hope for thousands of young people and families who are struggling with homelessness and housing insecurity.

For over 20 years we have been working to create a world where all people have access to the opportunities and resources they need to thrive. In the last three years alone, we grew from serving 5,000 people to more than 20,000 to meet the needs of communities during the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic crisis that followed it.

We provide a wide range of programs and services, such as emergency shelter, meals, supportive housing, rental and utility assistance, youth drop-in programs, case management, education, employment, and advocacy. But we cannot do this work alone. We need your help and support.

That is why I am asking you to join me in donating to La Casa Norte’s Giving Tuesday fundraiser. Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that takes place on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It is a day to celebrate and support the causes that matter to you and your community.
