“Even the coach needs a goal.”
For me, that’s Birmingham HYROX this October.
I’m not a natural runner.
At over 100kg, every mile is earned.
But this isn’t just about fitness.
Like so many families, mine has been affected by cancer. I’ve lost family members to it, and that’s why I’ll be raising money for Macmillan along the way.
So this is the journey for me and Liam:
🏃 Run more
💪 Train harder
⚖️ Get healthier
💚 Raise money for a great cause
No shortcuts.
No magic plan.
Just consistency.
Even the coach needs a goal.
Road to Birmingham HYROX starts now.

This Autumn, I’m taking on HYROX Birmingham to support people living with cancer for Macmillan Cancer Support.
HYROX is the fitness race that combines both running and functional fitness. I’ll be taking on a course of a 1km run followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.
I have pledged to raise £400, which could run the Macmillan Support Line for nearly an hour. I’d be so grateful for any donations to help me reach my goal.
📖 £10 could pay for 10 copies of our Help with the cost of cancer booklet.
📱 £20 could provide one session of emotional support to a person living with cancer with a Macmillan Buddy.
💚 £39 could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for 1 hour.
There are currently over 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, but they can’t do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
