I started supporting University Settlement eight years ago when my friends and I started the LES Revel Run 5k in memory of our beloved neighbor, Pavel Lempert. Our initial goal was to raise money for their after-school programs. Three years ago, we created the Pavel Lempert Fellowship Program which has now supported 12 students in year-long internships where they learn leadership skills and prepare for post-secondary success.

Partnering with University Settlement has been amazing. I am thrilled to run the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half to raise money for their organization that provides comprehensive programming for New Yorkers (newborn to elders) so that any family with a student in their afterschool programs gains access to support for their whole family including mental health services, eviction prevention, education for younger siblings, and so much more!
