Story
With great pride and a full heart, I am excited to share I will be running the 130th Boston Marathon in support of the Community Foundation for MetroWest (CFMW). It has been my dream to run this race since I began distance running in 2018. Running for CFMW will make it even more special.
As a long-time volunteer for the Foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) program, I have witnessed the Foundation’s significant impact on those who live, learn, and work in MetroWest. CFMW has created a more equitable and vibrant MetroWest by providing financial and educational resources to our community’s nonprofits, helping donors carry out charitable giving, offering programming for individuals and youth, and providing resources and information to the community. I see and experience this impact first-hand in the enthusiasm and dedication of my YIP students as they learn critical life skills, identify their own philanthropic goals and passions, and make an impact in their community, during their program and beyond.
I hope you will join me in supporting CFMW. All funds raised will benefit the Foundation’s ONEmetrowest fund, committed to delivering vital resources to MetroWest communities, where they are needed most, in the areas of hunger relief, basic needs, youth development, education equity, arts and culture, and beyond.
Please accept my sincerest thanks for your generosity in supporting my run and giving to an organization that has meant so much to me and the community that I have called home for the last 12 years.
In the words of the Foundation: “When we show up for one another, anything is possible.”

ABOUT COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR METROWEST
Since 1995 we have been identifying areas where the needs are the greatest and implementing initiatives to address these needs. We focus on the outcome, are nimble, and adjust accordingly.
We help donors plan and carry out their charitable giving, whether they already know where they want to give or need assistance identifying local needs.
We partner with others across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, bringing a consistent and knowledgeable voice to critical civic issues.
We manage funds and for both donors and nonprofits, reducing administrative costs while increasing tax advantages.
We provide resources and information to the public to help shine a light on the strengths and challenges that face our communities in MetroWest.
We offer programs for individuals, youth and nonprofits to learn, grow and build skills to better serve our communities.
