Story
Dearest friends and family,
Anthony and I are preparing for another deeply meaningful journey of solidarity and support alongside Israel’s injured veterans and victims of terror.
This year’s Courage in Motion bike ride, organized by Beit Halochem Canada, will take place October 11–15. Anthony will once again be cycling through southern Israel, riding past the kibbutzim impacted on October 7 and the site of the Nova Festival. I will be joining as a volunteer, working directly to support and care for the cyclists.
Beit Halochem’s state-of-the-art facilities—in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Beer Sheva, Nahariya, and the newly opened centre in Ashdod—provide essential rehabilitative care for disabled veterans and their families. The Ashdod location expands vital services along the southern coast, bringing advanced PTSD support, marine-based therapies, and specialized care closer to thousands who previously had to travel long distances. From physiotherapy and hydrotherapy to sports coaching and adaptive equipment, Beit Halochem empowers veterans to rebuild fulfilling lives.
