Story
EIA is professionals, students, and communities in action. Since 2009, thousands of volunteers from dozens of universities and companies across the globe have designed and built over 250 pedestrian footbridge and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) projects alongside rural communities in 12 countries, serving over 200,000 people. EIA (Engineers In Action) works with underserved communities and global partners to implement practical engineering projects (e.g. footbridges) that strengthen local capacity and improve access to essential resources (e.g. crossing dangerous rivers).
Those numbers are continuing to grow this year. But it costs a lot OF money to build these projects, and our volunteers incur a lot of expenses while volunteering their time and expertise. Please consider supporting by making a financial contribution today!
Costs supported include plane tickets, lodging, local transportation, visa and passport, vaccinations, on-site accommodations, daily meals, and safety equipment. Tourist or "fun" costs are not included.
