As the current President of the Reading Public Library Board of Trustees, I can attest to the crucial role the Library plays in our community. Our city's library is much more than a repository of books. It is a community center, a safe shelter, and an economic driver. Reading Public Library is an anchor in our community, serving the needs of traditional library customers while tackling social exclusion and inequality. Over the years, this event has raised funds that have benefitted children, teens, and adults by allowing the Library to provide access to music, art, and educational programming.
