Story

Kaitlynn Roark is the Founder and CEO of Libertas Technologies, a small defense contracting company in Huntsville. She is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, The University of Alabama in Huntsville, and Leadership Greater Huntsville’s Connect Class 20. She co-founded give256, a giving circle that makes philanthropy accessible to anyone, and she has served the community in many roles including as the President of the Junior League of Huntsville, as a member of the Advisory Board to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, and as part of the Huntsville Hospital’s Development Council, among others. In her spare time, she can be found listening to audiobooks of various Bravo TV stars or dreaming of trips to the next Taylor Swift Eras Tour location.

Kaitlynn believes that The Huntsville Botanical Garden is a great asset to the city – from educational programs to event venues, the Garden is there to serve the community in numerous capacities. Plus, it has so many staple events, like The Galaxy of Lights, that feed into core memories from childhood to adulthood. One of the many reasons why Kaitlynn continues to support the Huntsville Botanical Gardens is because it’s such a joy to watch the Garden bring new and fun memories for people of all walks of life in Huntsville and the surrounding areas.
