Hi, I’m Mikaela, a Pediatric Hematology Social Worker and I’m Katy, a Child Life Specialist and Facility Dog Handler to Polly, at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM). We’re proud members of the QUILT Team (Quality of Life Team), where we support children and families through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

We help children find courage during painful procedures, support families through uncertainty, and create moments of comfort, connection, and hope when they’re needed most.

That’s why we’re running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon as Champions for CHAM. Every mile we run helps fund our palliative care program -- a program that brings comfort, dignity, and support to families when they need it most.
