EIA Rio Caine Bridge Build 2024

With your help, I know my next mission will be another big success! This October, I'll be traveling to Bolivia with Engineers In Action (EIA) to help build a suspended pedestrian bridge that will be over 355' long.
The Rio Caine Pedestrian Bridge will serve the Bolivian community of Tipa K'asa and be used by over 2,000 people - wow! Waters in Río Caine flow heavily and consistently for most of the year, and except for a few months during the dry season, the only way to cross is by an aging cable car pulled hand-over-hand more than 325' across the river. The safety of this cable car system is questionable at best, and makes crossing by the young or elderly and the transportation of farm goods to market nearly impossible.
The bridge I will be building with EIA, the locals, and other team members from across the US, will provide the local people with safe year-round access to education, healthcare, markets, employment, government representation, and travel.
Will you help me make a difference for this community? Donate today to help change the lives of thousands of people!
Thank you and big hugs!
Kayla

More info from EIA:
The EIA Bridge Program's mission is to empower today's volunteers to become tomorrow's global change-makers by building bridges with underserved communities. Since 2006 in our program, thousands of volunteers from 40+ universities and companies across the globe have designed and built 125+ footbridges alongside rural communities in 12 countries, effectively connecting over 150,000 previously isolated people to essential resources.
Those numbers are continuing to grow this year! But it costs a lot money to build these bridges and our volunteers incur a lot of expenses while volunteering their time and expertise. Please consider joining our "Bridge Builder Family" by making a financial contribution today!
