HYROX Birmingham 2026 · 27 October 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

HYROX is the world’s leading fitness event series, and we’re happy to be their UK headline charity partner. HYROX is a fitness race for everybody, no matter your fitness level.

Story

In October my friend Rhyanon and I are taking on HYROX Birmingham to support people living with cancer for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Fitness is a huge part of my life as a personal trainer, and while I love pushing myself, doing this event for charity makes it truly meaningful.

Cancer affects everyone. In the UK, 1 in 2 people will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. It impacts parents, partners, friends, and colleagues. Personally, my mum has had multiple cancer diagnoses, my brother, I've known clients who have recieved cancer diagnoses, dear friends have lost family to cancer.

As a trainer, I am passionate about how movement protects us. Experts estimate that 40% of cancers are preventable, and regular exercise directly lowers the risk of major types like bowel, breast, and uterine cancers. Any amount you can donate will go straight to supporting the amazing work Macmillan do for families facing a diagnosis. But even better, if seeing this challenge inspires you to start moving, join a gym, or make a positive change for your own health, I would be absolutely delighted. Taking care of your fitness is the best investment you can make.

Thanks in advance, here we go!

HYROX is the fitness race that combines both running and functional fitness. I’ll be taking on a course of a 1km run followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.

📖 £10 could pay for 10 copies of our Help with the cost of cancer booklet.

📱 £20 could provide one session of emotional support to a person living with cancer with a Macmillan Buddy.

💚 £39 could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for 1 hour.

There are currently over 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, but they can’t do this without donations from people like you.

Thank you!
