I have been very fortunate to realise a dream and will get to run the London marathon this year.

I was lucky to win a place in the ballot and so don't have to raise a specific amount for a chosen charity.

However, it gives me the opportunity to raise some funds for the Addie Brady Foundation.

Addie was a classmate and friend of my daughter, Rachel, but sadly died from a rare brain tumour at only 16 years old.

Any amounts you could spare will go to the family foundation set up to help research into treatments and help others suffering from similar conditions.
