Story
When Luke was born, we didn't have all the answers, but we weren't alone.
One of the first gifts our family received was a binder form the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center, filled with information, resources, and guidance. During a time that felt overwhelming, it gave us direction and reminded us that there was a community ready to support us.
Since then, the Resource Center has become so much more than just a source of information. Through family events, we've met other parents and families who truly understand our journey. Those connections have turned into friendships, encouragement, and a reminder that we're part of something bigger.
As Luke has grown, the Resource Center has continued to stand beside us. They've helped us prepare for IEP meetings and even provided a parent advocate to attend with us, giving us the confidence to make sure Luke receives the support he deserves at school.
Perhaps the greatest gift they've given us is hope. We've met incredible individuals with Down Syndrome and families who continually remind us that our children can achieve amazing things with the right support, opportunities, and people who believe in them.
Today, we're fundraising to help ensure that other families receive the same support we've been blessed with, from the very first binder in the hospital to the lifelong connection & encouragement that follows.
If you're able, we'd be so grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center continue providing resources, advocacy, education and community to families like ours. Your gift helps create a more inclusive world- one where individuals with Down Syndrome are valued, supported and empowered.
Thank you for supporting Luke, our family, and so many others on this journey!
With gratitude,
Dan, Kim & Luke
