I started my Y journey in 3rd grade as a Guppy. My Belleville public school participated in, (and still does today,) the Y's Safety Around Water program. My school bussed my class to the Downtown Belleville Y for free swim lessons. These were the only swim lessons I received in my life. These skills have stayed with me as I surfed in the Pacific Ocean, trained at a Coast Guard base, and most recently taught swim lessons at the Y. The Y is committed to ensuring everyone can enjoy the Y and makes financial assistance available. We offer a great variety of programs and activities that help people of all ages and abilities grow in spirit, mind and body, and we work to strengthen community.
