Enbridge Canoe for Kids is the largest annual fundraiser supporting the Christie Lake Kids Summer Camp Program. Every year, as a part of our year-round programs, low-income children and youth aged 9 - 17 have the opportunity to attend a session of summer camp at our picturesque 88-acre camp on the beautiful Christie Lake (at no cost). For many, Christie Lake Kids Camp is their only trip outside the city and the only opportunity to attend an overnight summer camp. While kids learn about naturelore and campcraft, how to swim and canoe, they also learn how to feel successful and confident, optimistic and resilient. All of Christie Lake Kids programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of children living in low-income households, with all costs, food and transportation covered.
