Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running for my son Callum who was diagnosed in 2021 aged 11. He is now 15 and he is so inspirational. He never complains or lets it get in his way, even though he lives with this relentless & misunderstood condition. His diagnosis was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with, I would do anything to trade places with him. It’s heart wrenching as a parent to watch your child have to deal with any diagnosis. Type 1 Diabetes is a constant battle and requires 24 hours a day attention. There are no days off.

Callum amazes me with his resilience and I am so proud of him.

We are constantly trying to raise awareness for this hidden condition. Sometimes the symptoms are hard to spot.

Look out for the 4 Ts

Tired,Thirst,Toilet,Thinner(could be one not all)

A simple finger prick at the Drs could save a life. If in doubt get checked out!

I pray for a cure for him and for all diabetics one day very soon!

I’ve only ran one 10k before and that was a good few years ago, so a half marathon is a real challenge for me.
