Social Responsibility at the YMCA

Thank you for visiting my Y Day of Giving fundraising page. I am raising funds to support our Adaptive Sports and Recreation programming. This group of people is often underrepresented in recreational activities, so our initiatives aim to create a safe and welcoming space where they can truly be themselves, connect with others in the community, and enjoy social experiences outside of the formal school setting. This project is important to me because I have personally seen the joy of participation in adaptive sports program brings, and I hope you will join me in support of making all abilities feel welcomed! At the Y, we believe every child deserves a chance to play, have fun, and be part of a team. YMCA Miracle League removes the barriers that keep children with disabilities out of sports and lets them experience the joys of being an athlete. It’s about building self-esteem, making new friends, and ensuring children with disabilities are treated just like other athletes.
