Hello All!

I've joined the fundraising team for Save The Children once again, this time to tackle the 50th Berlin Marathon 2024 this September! To raise the bar ever so slightly, I’ll also be running the Dublin & Valencia Marathons in the following two months! While I'll be taking on this challenge to satisfy my ongoing passion for running, my main purpose is to use these big events as another opportunity to raise awareness and hopefully some more much needed funds for The Save the Children Team. I am delighted to get the opportunity to take part in this and fundraise again for this great Charity.

This charity does incredible work in the UK and all around the world for children, to give them a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. They do whatever it takes for children every day and in times of crisis. Children's lives are still at risk following an increase of violence in Gaza and Israel. The ongoing war in Ukraine along with a number of natural disasters such as floods & earthquakes in recent months. Children in East Africa are also on the brink of one of the worst famines in 40 years.

- all children learn from a quality basic education

I am sure like me you are horrified by the daily news updates of these events, and although some of them may no longer make the frontline news as they are replaced by more recent atrocities, it does not mean that they are still not ongoing.
