Story
This March I’m taking on the HYROX challenge to support people living with cancer for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Sadly Macmillan has supported too many people I know - currently my Mum is in their care and in recent years my Dad, Mother in law and Father in law , who lost his battle in the Summer of this year, have all been in their care at some point before all moving to palliative care.
HYROX is the fitness race that combines both running and functional fitness. I’ll be taking on a course of a 1km run followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.
I have pledged to raise £400, which could run the Macmillan Support Line for nearly an hour. I’d be so grateful for any donations to help me reach my goal.
📖 £10 could pay for 10 copies of our Help with the cost of cancer booklet.
📱 £20 could provide one session of emotional support to a person living with cancer with a Macmillan Buddy.
💚 £39 could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for 1 hour.
There are currently over 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, but they can’t do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
