In 2024, one of my friends and colleagues was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She is a young mom of two and an overall amazing human. Her diagnosis was not the only one to have touched our lives since 2024; three other women we know have been diagnosed and are currently fighting their cancer battles. I've never been one to run.. but if these amazing women can endure what they're going through, then Thomas, Athena, and I can train and get through a 2K run in support of them!
