CMGlobal Tasmania Summer Break Trip 2025 - Lindsey St. Germain

I am ecstatic to share the opportunity that God has given me to travel and serve communities in Tasmania, Australia. This upcoming May, I will join a team of nine to minister in two different cities in Tasmania. We will be partnering with a local church, Burnie Baptist Church, and we will be participating in community outreach such as hosting festivals, participating in youth and sports ministries, helping in homeless shelter kitchens, and possibly working with some aboriginal communities. Each interaction will be an opportunity to build relationships and share God’s love to a community in need.
Australia has recently had a decline in Christianity. In Tasmania, only 15% of the population identifies as Christian, and the area struggles with a significant homeless population and drug addiction crises. Burnie Baptist Church works to bring hope and healing to this community, and I am honored to support their efforts through showing the love of the Lord. The goal for this trip is to be relational and form community with the people we come across. It is important we get to know these people so we may share our personal experience of the Lord and his love.
This is my first mission trip, so I ask that you pray that I will have strength and trust in the Lord throughout my preparation and participation on this trip. I also ask that you pray for my teammates that we will always have Christ on our minds and that we may be used fully for His glory.
If you feel led to support financially, you can donate on my JustGiving page. This money will cover travel, food, and housing expenses for the 2-3 week duration of the trip. Your prayers and support will allow us to bring hope to people facing deep challenges and show them the love of Christ.
It is in my heart to serve, and I cannot wait to further His Kingdom on this trip to Tasmania!
