My name is Logan Smith and I am the new Sports Director here at the Monroe County and Randolph County YMCA. I am a former collegiate athlete, baseball player at SIUE, and graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.

I love the Y because of the impact it has on the community. Growing up, I was always a helper, I loved helping other people more than myself. Making other people's day and changing their life is something I strive to achieve. Being in the sports program, I am able to implement that mindset with the kids of the Y. Seeing them come into the Y and being excited for practice or game day is something that brings me fulfillment. Whether they are an experienced player in the sport or picking up a ball for the first time, every kid is someone to teach and help them mold into a better person and grow a love for sports and their community.

The Y is the perfect place for me to be at and I am extremely grateful for being here. I look forward to coming in everyday and having an impact on families lives.
