Story
5th October 2023, my world changed forever. When Ethan left, it felt like the light went out and everything became a little quieter.
Ethan and I were inseparable. We grew up side by side, sharing endless laughter, secrets and jokes only we understood. He was the kind of friend you only get once in a lifetime — the kind who made life full of joy just by being in it.
Now, I only see him in old photographs, videos, and memories that sneak up on me when I least expect them. I hear his laugh in mine sometimes, and for a split second, it feels like he’s still here.
Mental health is a silent, cruel illness. One that often hides somewhere others can’t see. I’m running the Cardiff Half Marathon in Ethans memory.
I’m running for Mind, a charity that offers support to those who are struggling.
Please hug your people a little tighter. Tell them you love them. Check in, even when they say they’re okay. It might be the most important thing you ever do.
If you’d like to support my run please donate.
