I'm proud to be joining Team Tommy's in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024 to support Tommy's and continue their vital work saving babies' lives.

It remains a taboo to talk about pregnancy loss and fertility struggles in our society. Given how many of us are affected by these life-altering events, it’s desperately sad that we so often carry these burdens alone and in private. By opening up, I hope that we can create a safe space for people to feel more able to discuss their experiences and get the support - emotionally and medically - that they need.

I consider myself incredibly lucky to have two gorgeous children and I’m currently on maternity leave with my second. But, it’s not been an easy journey getting here. I’ll be motivated to run by my two boys but also thinking of the three babies we never got to meet, and the friends who have been through heartbreaking experiences of their own.

Tommy's fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. They want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies.
