Grounded in compassion, connection, and service, The Light House relies on a caring community of volunteers, supporters, and staff to uplift individuals and families in need. Together, they provide meals, shelter, training and job opportunities to our neighbors experiencing homelessness, food insecurity and employment barriers.

LWVAAC dedicates this year's charitable fund drive in memory of Board Director Emeritus Carolyn Ciepiela, who passed away in October. Carolyn believed strongly in the power of education to improve lives, and she was passionate about helping others. Among her many contributions to the League, Carolyn worked to adopt a position on immigration that called for offering access to housing, health care and other services to non-citizens in need.
