Story
This May, I'm running the Spring Lake 5 Mile Run and am fundraising for Interfaith Neighbors [IFN]!
IFN's mission is to assist the vulnerable in securing life’s critical necessities while building healthier, more resilient communities.
IFN has been guided by a “neighbors helping neighbors,” philosophy for over 35 years. Serving all of Monmouth County, the organization seeks to build healthier, more equitable communities through various programs and initiatives.
Additionally, IFN's Kula Urban Farm enhances and engages the community through workshops and classes while providing employment opportunities and fresh produce for area residents. The Meals on Wheels program IFN operates delivers over 800 meals to homebound seniors providing nutrition and a wellness check each weekday. Lastly, the organization's founding Rental and Mortgage Assistance program remains a critical lifeline for over 400 families each year, offering direct payments to landlords, mortgage companies and service providers helping households stave off homelessness.
