Howdy howdy! I'm running the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon on Sunday, March 15th in support of the Hudson River Park! This will be my first half marathon ever, so I am incredibly excited for this milestone (13.1 miles, in fact).

While running is new to me, this park is not. In the nearly 5 years I have lived in NYC, I have spent time almost every day in this park as it truly is the best way to get outside and "touch grass" living in Manhattan. The park has absolutely revolutionized the west side and is my favorite outdoor space in the city. When it came to fundraising for this race, I could not think of a better way to give back to the park that's given me so much! For my Texas/out-of-state people, most of us do not have backyards up here so it really is special :)

Hudson River Park (HRPK) is the Nation's Longest Riverfront Park. It runs four miles along Manhattan's west side and attracts over 17 million visits each year. The Park provides an oasis for New Yorkers and visitors alike with a variety of recreational and educational activities. The Park is also an urban sustainability innovation, from their community composting efforts to their 400-acre Estuarine Sanctuary that's reviving biodiversity in the Hudson River. This Park is a vital urban sanctuary, and a public education resource for future environmentalists and scientists.
