This November, I'm running the NYC Marathon in support of SCOPE.

Why a marathon? Because running is already part of my life at camp — I run almost every day, and I bring campers and staff along with me. Whether it's running, swimming, or just trying something new, I love getting kids involved and showing them what they're capable of. That's the power of camp: it builds confidence that lasts far beyond the summer.

Training for 26.2 miles is no joke, but I want to use it to keep inspiring and motivating the kids and staff around me — and to bring attention to something I believe in deeply: SCOPE.

SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education) is a national nonprofit that funds overnight summer camp and college scholarships for children and teens from under-resourced communities who commit to staying in school. Through Camp, Classroom, College, and Career, SCOPE creates real pathways to potential for kids who might not otherwise have access to the life-changing experience of camp.

Every mile I run this November is for them. I'd be so grateful for your support.
