Story

Hello! I’m Matt, and I’m thrilled to be running the 2025 London Marathon. This will be my second ever marathon, and after six years of rejections, I can finally say I’ve made it to the starting line of one of the world’s most iconic races! It's been a long term goal of mine to run London Marathon.

I've been fortunate enough to take up a place of another runner from the Clear Group (our parent company) who unfortunately has withdrawn due to injury.

I’m more determined than ever to not only cross that finish line but to do so in support of a cause that means a lot to me and so many others - MIND.

I've personally struggled with my own mental health for years and running has been my own version of therapy. Whether I've had a stressful day or long night (2 small kids), I've found that running has become a much needed escape from it all.

I joined Westbourne RC in 2023 which really spurred me on to improve my times and enter longer distance races (I rarely did over 10K previously), I'll go on record and say I'm hoping for sub 3:30!

I’ve set a fundraising goal of £2,200, and I’d love for you to join me in making a difference. Whether it’s a donation or simply sharing my story, your support will help me reach my goal and contribute to such an important cause.

Thank you for being part of my journey to the finish line of the London Marathon and for supporting MIND!
