Story
I have a 13 year old son, and he has never had to worry about losing an education and being forced into labor. We are grateful but not every child has the same freedom.
In Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, there are thousands of street children who lack access to food, shelter, clothing, education, and medical care. These children work odd jobs like working in a factory, selling flowers, candy, or shining shoes just to earn 55 cents per day to survive. In some instances, children turn to robbery or prostitution. These children are extremely vulnerable to exploitation and abuse.
International Needs now has "drop-in centers" where children can come enjoy a safe environment and have the chance to learn, play, and eat a nutritious meal with friends. In some instances, the staff are able to win the permanent release from bonded labor of these children and give them a chance at a real childhood.
Will you help support a child in need?
