Story
October 13th marked the kickoff of the YMCA of the North’s Fall Giving Campaign. With nearly 170 years of nonprofit service, the YMCA continues to evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of the communities it serves.
While I wasn’t a camper growing up, my journey with the Y began in 2017 at Camp St. Croix. That experience shaped the mission-driven path I’ve followed ever since. YMCA programs gave me purpose—and I’ve seen firsthand the impact they have on kids, helping them discover confidence, connection, and joy.
This fall, I’m raising funds to give back to YMCA Camp Icaghowan, where I had the privilege of spending this past summer. If you know me from YMCA Camp St. Croix or have ever heard me talk about it, know that Camp Icaghowan holds that same magic: stories shared around the fire, peaceful mornings on the lake, and kids growing into themselves in ways only camp can inspire.
Every contribution—big or small—helps us improve and expand programs, making sure cost is never a barrier to transformative experiences. Your gift helps ensure every child and family has access to the tools, resources, and support they need to not just stay well—but to thrive.
If you believe in the magic of camp, or simply in giving kids the chance to try something new, please consider making a gift!
