Climb for a Cause: Mount Rainier (Tahoma) · 2 June 2025

Climb for a Cause is a fundraising program at Washington's National Park Funds that gives climbers a once in a lifetime opportunity to climb an iconic peak in one of Washington's national parks - all while giving back to these beautiful places!

Story

I'm excited to announce my participation in Climb for a Cause, where our climbing team will attempt to summit Mount Rainier (Tahoma) in June 2025. This challenge supports the Washington National Park Fund (WNPF), which provides essential funding for Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks, covering vital needs like search and rescue, research, trail maintenance, and visitor services.

Washington's State parks have given me countless precious memories and profound connections with nature. Every time I am in Seattle, I try to plan a park trip. It's heartbreaking to see places like the Hoh Rainforest becoming inaccessible due to lack of funds. Given the significant budget cuts announced for the National Parks Service, organizations like WNPF play an increasingly vital role in maintaining these treasured spaces. By supporting my Climb for a Cause campaign, you'll help preserve these natural wonders for future generations.

Please consider donating through my fundraising page and sharing this campaign with others. Every contribution helps protect these irreplaceable landscapes. I've included a gallery of photos from my park adventures below to share some of the beauty we're working to preserve.
