Story
Friends Life Community is more than a day program. It is a place for adults with developmental disabilities to grow personally, develop socially, and enjoy community together.
My sister, Amy, starting attending FLC in 2022. She is learning new skills, volunteering her time and making a difference in the Nashville community. Amy has created art work that hangs in The Frist Center, in a local restaurant, and even at NECAT. She is currently rehearsing for a role in a group performance that will be held at the Kindling Arts Festival in July 2024. She volunteers for a number of organizations in Nashville and can often be found serving ice cream from the Friends Treat Truck.
The Friends are building stronger friendships through these shared experiences -- creating memories, learning new skills, and expanding their abilities -- which reinforces a feeling of belonging.
I ask you to join me on Friendship Day, FLC's day of giving, and give the gift of Friendship.
Donate now and help us reach our goal of $25,000. When we reach $25,000 FLC will receive a matching gift of $15,000 for a total of $40,000!
