Story
I am running the 2025 NYC Marathon for the children and families at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein (CHAM). The funds I raise will be used to support CHAM’s Quality in Life Team (QUILT), a group of palliative care experts who help families navigate life-threatening and terminal illnesses with clarity and compassion. As Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Physician-in-Chief for CHAM, I know that this is one of the programs that is essential for our hospital. In addition, this is the type of program that cannot rely on traditional sources of clinical revenue.
I ran the NYC Marathon in 2021 when the team raised over $100,000 for the palliative care program. With changes to how children's health will be funded in the coming year, we need this support for QUILT even now, more than ever.

Your support can make an incredible difference. Every dollar raised helps improve the lives of children and families involved with the CHAM QUILT Program when they need it most. Join us in supporting our pediatric palliative care program at CHAM.
