Story
I’m taking part in Making Milestones—a creative fundraising challenge to support The Milestone House, a recovery residence that provides safe, structured housing for people rebuilding their lives after addiction.
Throughout June, members of the Milestone community—residents, alumni, family, staff, and friends—are launching personal challenges to raise money and awareness. Whether it’s baking cookies, climbing stairs, painting with a pet, or something entirely original, these challenges are a way to honor the daily courage it takes to pursue recovery.
I decided to challenge myself to re-learn the piano. I played piano throughout my childhood, but haven’t spent time on it since I was fourteen years old, until recently. Playing and learning piano is a positive outlet. Specifically, this challenge will involve learning Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata from beginning to end.
I’ll be completing my challenge by the end of June, and I hope you’ll support me. Every dollar goes directly to helping individuals on their journey to stability, healing, and hope. Please consider donating—or even starting a challenge of your own. Together, we’re *Making Milestones*.
