Story
We're still raising money for Macmillan and take part in our 2nd Hyrox in Manchester on the 24th January.
Last October, Asa (my son) and I took part in our 1st HYROX to help raise money for people living with cancer that rely on the support of Macmillan.
Crazy fools that we are - we are competing again in the Manchester Hyrox in January - our goal is simple - beat our last time and continue to raise much needed funds for Macmillan.
1 in 2 people will be affected by cancer in their life time, and last year it knocked on the door of our family when my Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer, the most unwelcome visitor ever :-(
My partner's family has also be blighted by cancer, so Asa and I wanted to challenge ourselves and do something to help.
HYROX combines both running & functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.
We'd be so grateful if you could help us reach our pledge of £2500, which could fund the Online Community Forum for 6 days. Any donation is gratefully received by Asa & I and especially Macmillan.
There are currently over 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
