Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year, to mark my 40 year anniversary of living with a Spinal Cord Injury, I have decided to take on the SIA Accessible Adventure Challenge of a 90ft abseil followed by a 1 mile canoe to help raise valuable funding for the Spinal Injuries Association.

A spinal cord injury can be devastating and is life changing and life-long. It affects an individual both physically and mentally and learning to adjust and live with the daily challenges this condition brings can be extremely difficult.

Charities such as the Spinal Injuries Association exist to advise, support and advocate for anyone who has sustained a spinal cord injury to help them lead the life they want along with offering support for their families and loved ones.

I was lucky enough to receive wonderful support and advice from one of their Peer Support Officers and would now like to give back and raise funds for this very worthwhile organisation.

Thank you for reading and any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated.
