My why - I was once one of the patients CHN helped and this experience came full circle when I became a mentor and could give back hope and support to others going through the fears and uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis.

Looking back I am so thankful for the prayers, love and support of my family and friends including CHN.

For more than 40 years, Cancer Hope Network has been a source of help and hope for cancer patients, caregivers, and those who love them through meaningful connection with trained Peer Mentor volunteers who care because they’ve been there and have undergone a similar cancer journey.

Each Peer Mentor is trained to create an atmosphere of safety and acceptance, to actively listen to the needs and concerns of their mentee, to share their own experiences surrounding cancer, and to ensure that every interaction is supportive and hopeful.
