Oncology Clinical Trials is raising money for Trillium Health Partners Foundation

The Oncology Clinical Trials team at Trillium Health Partners connects patients with clinical trials at all points in their cancer journey for a variety of disease sites. Clinical trials aim to determine the safety and efficacy of treatments, devices, and procedures to further and improve patient treatment options.
Bob R. was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in fall 2022 and was planned for a second course of chemotherapy. Hesitant to do so based on his past experience, Bob met with a Radiation Oncologist at Credit Valley Hospital who presented him with another treatment option – a clinical trial. After reviewing the study information with his Oncologist and the Clinical Trials Nurse, Bob decided to participate in the clinical trial and has not needed chemotherapy since then.
I feel good about participating in the trial and the care I have received is excellent. To date it looks like the trial is working and the spots on my lungs are shrinking and the latest CT scan did not locate any cancer elsewhere in my body. The follow up by all involved is very good and is completed on a regular basis with me knowing well in advance of forthcoming appointments and treatments.
