Story

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank distributes food to people in need through a statewide network of 143 member agencies including food pantries, meal sites, shelter, youth programs and senior centers.

Currently, the Food Bank is serving 80,000 Rhode Islanders each month through our network of member agencies.

According to the 2023 Hunger Survey conducted for the Food Bank, 35% (22,050) of residents who depend on the Food Bank have a household member with diabetes. This is 24%p higher than the national average.

As a company with cutting-edge diabetes management technology and a mission to promote wellness, Orange Biomed is proud to sponsor a virtual food drive fundraiser during National Diabetes Awareness Month. Orange Biomed recognizes the impact of nutrition on health and is dedicated to supporting local U.S. communities in obtaining higher access to resources.

Partnering with Sponsors of the Future (SoF), Orange Biomed is continuing our effort to educate, advocate, and directly support local residents in 2023 and beyond.
