Story
On March 30th I will be heading to Mexico for a week to serve at an orphanage called City of Children (https://www.cityofchildren.com/)
I am excited to serve on my first mission trip and look forward to helping children in need. Below is some information on the trip I will be taking with a special group of high school students and leaders from Greater Atlanta Christian School. Please help me by praying for a safe and successful mission trip for our group and for the children in the orphanage. If you would like to make a donation to help fund my trip you can do that from this site.
75 miles south of the world’s most heavily crossed border at San Diego/Tijuana, there’s a special place…. a home for hurting little ones, where “a cup of cold water” is given in Jesus’ name. This story of rescue has been written for over 40 years. It began in 1970 as a labor of love by concerned Christians in California. All of the children have a story that has brought them to this place in need of the love of Jesus. As a GAC student on this trip I get to partner with this incredible place to help support the mission and serve the children.
Our Purpose: All of these children share the same sense of urgency – to love and be loved by Christians and to feel the compassion of God’s people. Our mission will be to be a friend and example of Jesus to a child. Our hugs and attention may be the love that helps heal a broken heart. From work projects, to sharing bible stories, to just sitting and playing with kids this trip will bless to all who commit to serve.
Thank you for your prayers and support of GAC missions.
