Story

My mom, Ulla, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in the summer of 2022, just two months into her retirement after a 33-year career teaching German to high school students in Dover, New Jersey. Thanks to her incredible doctors, her tumor was successfully removed, allowing her to enjoy her well-deserved retirement.

Born and raised in Recklinghausen, Germany, my mother has always been a source of radiant inspiration. Now that I live in Frankfurt, I can think of no better way to honor her than by running my first marathon in her home country, fundraising for the research that saved her life.

I am proud to run in support of my mother and as a tribute to those afflicted by brain tumors who were not as fortunate. Your donation will help fund crucial research and provide hope to many others facing similar battles. I have set the initial goal to $3,300 as the time I hope to break is 3 hours and 30 minutes. Thank you to everyone who has supported so far and let's reach for more! See you at the finish line!

*Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! After crossing the $3,300 goal, I have decided to double the target to $6,600! Let's see if we can do it!*
