Climbing Kilimanjaro - Highest Maintain in Africa

Macmillan Cancer Support is investing £2.1 million to create a new ‘gold standard’ cancer support centre at York Hospital.

Story

Dear friends, family, and supporters,

The moment has arrived…

Today, I begin my climb to conquer the world’s highest freestanding mountain — Kilimanjaro. But my fundraising journey isn’t over.

If you’ve been meaning to donate, now’s the time to dig deep. Every £, $ and € goes 100% to Macmillan Cancer Support. Together, we can make a difference.

Macmillan nurses provided incredible care and comfort to both my mum and my sister-in-law, Hannah Lister, during their battles with cancer. Sadly, we lost them both, but the kindness, dedication, and support shown by Macmillan made an immeasurable difference—not only to them but to our whole family.

This climb is my way of giving back, honouring their memory, and ensuring that Macmillan nurses can continue to provide their outstanding care to those who need it most.

100% of donations will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support—I am covering all costs of the climb myself, so every penny you give will go straight to this amazing cause.

If you would like to support my journey and help Macmillan continue their life-changing work, please donate through my JustGiving page. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support. Let’s do this for Mum, for Hannah, and for everyone affected by cancer.
